About that time aye chaps?

Well, it has been a while hasn't it? Summer vaguely came and went and now were on to Autumn again (waking up in the dark, needing jumpers after 5pm, students hogging train space...) This is more of a photo story of things we've recently been up to, with little witty yet profound annotations. I will update more at some point, but not while the work day is looming!

Ahhh! The arrival of our new Turkeys, this year we have 4 varieties, Norfolk Blacks, like last year, Buffs, Bronzes and Narrowgan Sets. We started off with 12 but lost one quite quickly which was sad, but the rest are fit and healthy and happy!

Some of our Early Summer Croppings.

Courgettes: One of the few veg to have survived this weather!

Brad up the wind turbine, a rather unnerving event which no longer has to happen as we have a new one which doesn't need manually resetting!

James and Brad planting peas in the snow!

Lemmy our Rhode Island Red munching all the slugs from our pumpkin bucket, her backs getting better now we only have one Cockerel.

The girls left us on the day of my first driving test, but we miss them.

Now for what we've been doing this week:

The Melon-Dick is a clue, and the cows our neighbours, one had a calf last week, very sweet!

The Men hard at work!

Putting together the geodome. An exclusive shot mind you! This is going to be our new hydroponics unit, were we will grow... melons! and the such like (I know what you were thinking, tsk) This is the stage it is currently at, I'll add more photos when its done!

James and Brad putting up the dome, with the view down the valley. Not sure what the neighbours are going to think.

The domes formed of pentagons and hexagons, which arrived in bits, not coated in plastic, its been a long few days!

Arty shot of melon head.

Arty shot of the dome - its a star! :D x x x
